The Routhless 7
It diagnoses what’s actually weak and installs an execution system that holds.
Premise
Most people don’t have an information problem.
They have a standards, tradeoffs, and follow‑through problem.
The Routhless 7 is how we identify the constraint and fix it without theatrics.
Â
Pillar 1 Standard
Your non-negotiables and what you tolerate. If the standard is soft, everything downstream becomes optional. Prompts: What do you tolerate that’s costing results? Where does good enough win? What gets enforced consistently?
Pillar 2 Target
One clear outcome with a deadline and definition of done. Prompts: What are you driving toward specifically? When is it due? What does done mean in measurable terms?
Pillar 3 Tradeoff
Execution is subtraction. If nothing stops, nothing changes. Prompts: What gets removed now? What are you saying no to? Where is attention leaking?
Pillar 4 Rhythm
Cadence beats intensity. A real rhythm makes outcomes repeatable. Prompts: What gets done weekly without debate? What is the commitment cadence? What is the anti-drift system?
Pillar 5 Message
Influence requires clarity. If people don’t understand you quickly, you don’t scale. Prompts: What do you do, for whom, why does it matter? Are you crisp or complicated? Does your clarity create trust?
Pillar 6 Network
You don’t scale alone. Leverage comes through relationships and trust equity. Prompts: Which relationships are underbuilt? Where do you need alignment? Who has access you need and do they trust you?
Pillar 7 Scoreboard
No stories. Just truth. Metrics and feedback loops that don’t lie. Prompts: What are leading indicators? What gets reviewed weekly? Where are you avoiding numbers because they’re uncomfortable?
How It Shows Up
We identify the one or two pillars blocking results, enforce standards and tradeoffs, install rhythm and scoreboard, pressure-test decisions until the path is clear, then execute and review.
